Thanks for visiting my profile!  Let me briefly share a little bit about myself with you.

I was raised in Richmond, Virginia and after attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. I married Brian Donohue and together we raised a son and daughter.  An Education major, I taught three and four year olds and later handled Admissions for an elementary/middle parochial school where many times assisted families new to the area with their housing needs.  This experience sparked my love for the real estate business.  Actually teaching and being a Realtor are very similar.  Both require guidance, knowledge, patience and nurturing in helping people achieve their needs and dreams.   Finding that perfect fit whether it is with first time buyers/sellers or the experienced, seasoned investor, my full attention and expertise are always front and center when dealing with my clients.  Simply put, I am there for them throughout the entire process – including after the sale.

My 14 years of professional real estate experience has been in Brunswick County including Southport, Boliva, Oak Island and Leland.  I have vast experience in planned communities including St. James Plantation, Arbor Creek, Winding River and Westport, as well as land, wet and dry slips sales in these areas.  I have worked in corporate general brokerage, within a few years my husband and I opened and successfully operated NC Coastal Living, I later was recruited by a major developer, St. James, to their resale division.  While gaining invaluable experience with both corporate and the development side of the business, we decided to reopen NC Coastal Living.  Again I am proud to say that again we are a small but mighty firm and very happy to be living and working in Brunswick County, NC.

Service to the community is also important in our family.  My husband is a volunteer fire fighter and former EMT, I have worked with the Foster Children’s Program in Alamance County, St. James Service Club and with Sacred Heart Villas Seniors.  When not working I enjoy dance of all types, teaching Zumba Fitness, at Cape Fear Fitness in Southport, learning to cook.  Of course being the ever so proud Mom and Nana to our two children and their spouses (Briar & Scott and Ashby & Tracy) our six little grandchildren, Maddie, Anna, Griffin, Jack, Ryan and Sully is the most important part of our wonderful life here at the coast!  You will often find me walking our 3 (yes three) yorkies at the beach on Oak Island and around St. James Plantation!
