Once you have made the decision to sell your home one may say to themselves “What is the next step?”  Here are a few good tips to make your home stand out from the crowd.

  1. Have a Home Inspection done by a Licensed Home Inspector!
  2. Property condition is very important to buyers.  The general upkeep and presentation of your home is critical to obtaining the highest value.  Keep your carpets fresh, floors clean and all wet areas sparkling.
  3. Buyers today do not want to “buy problems”!  After the inspection, repair all necessary items and you will not have any surprises when a buyer has one done.  It also shows pride in ownership.  Sellers that invest in necessary repairs and keep their home clean and fresh always reap the rewards.
  4. Painting an exterior or interior if needed really enhances the curb appeal and the wow factor when entering the home.
  5. Declutter your closets, cupboards and counter tops.
  6. Keep walkways and hallways free from clutter so that your buyers can easily move about the home.
  7. Less is more, a few personal photos but not your entire family history.  Remember you want them to picture their items in the house and their artwork on the walls.
